Patch, plug or supervene upon. Depends on the location of the puncture, and warranty. I had one I swear was fine to patch, that Canadian tire just replaced instead.
did you lot buy at Costco?

Unless y'all bought from costco they wont patch it.
Also I would get to a tire store that deals with this everyday and patches from the within which is a better style to exercise it.

Oh interesting, did not know they will gear up tires not from them. However for $10.99 they are probably simply plugging it. The platonic manner to patch is to take the Tire off the Rim & employ a patch on the inside which will cost around $30-$40 considering they will re balance the tire likewise likewise.
Yup to you on what you lot rather do - https://blog.bestusedtires.com/tire-plu ... e-patches/

They patch from the inside...however the screw was too short then it didn't really puncture through the tire....
sickcars wrote: ↑ Oh interesting, did not know they will fix tires not from them. Still for $ten.99 they are probably just plugging information technology. The ideal manner to patch is to have the Tire off the Rim & apply a patch on the inside which will price around $thirty-$40 considering they will re rest the tire too also.

I worked in a Costco Tire Heart. They used "Xtra Seal Combination Repair Units". The all-time and only way to repair a tire puncture, IMO.

Called Costco today and was told $12 to fix a blast. If the wheel is off the car than no need for an appointment but drop off the wheel if the the cycle is on the auto than you need an appointment. Probably going to go this calendar week hopefully no surprises.

I told this story earlier on here but here it is again...
Only surprise will be if yous're waiting for it because you will exist waiting for hours, about likely, lol. Such was my experience with a wheel-off-motorcar tyre fix by Costblo. And I even had to make an engagement. But appointment be damned, I was at that place probably 3 hours before I left with my tyre stock-still. Brought in wheel for app't time. Left with these fancy-pants glove-wearin' time-taking guys and so proceeded to practise all my Costco shopping. Then waited in typical Costco checkout line, put all stuff in my car. Came back to get tyre, they hadn't even looked at it even so!
About another 30 minutes and they finally tell me "yes it's fixable"--duh I already knew that but they think they are so expert that only they can determine if fixable. I mean it was a small nail puncture like 2 inches inward. Anyway sit there on the uber uncomfortable metal-grid benches they have thinking it can't take that long and watch these guys work always so daintily on things like they think they're at a ballet, not an machine shop And so first watching some episodes of whatsoever on good ol' Netflux until my battery is near dead. Then...look some more. Then finally, eventhough I am sitting there in evidently view, they phone call me to tell me my tyre is done at present. Even after that it nonetheless is almost another xx minutes before I pay and can go someone to walk the tyre out to the shop doors because when I suggested, "hey that'south my wheel there can I just go grab information technology?" Answer is no, I have to wait for tech to cease polishing his nails or any he's doing, to go it because I can't walk 20-30ft into the garage to become it myself--against policy as information technology were
On top of all this they put some dumb-lookin' valve cap on there, similar I want that there on a black bike Become them to requite me a blackness one instead. They also put a modest nick in the wheel somehow just information technology didn't go through the paint and so it notwithstanding looked fine and I'd already been there for hours then I didn't fifty-fifty mention information technology.
Overall I saved money compared to other places and the patch was washed good--hooray! Merely in the end that $x-fifteen saved or whatever? Totally not worth it. Never again Costblo. Never again! These guys take zero and I mean nix hustle and just piece of work on wheels/tyres like they're some kind of painstaking artwork or something. Aye I get that following safety protocols, taking the time to do things right, are all needed but this was like they were working in slow motion. I'grand surprised they didn't have classical music playing in the shop, 'cause they might equally well accept. Any existent tyre shop, place would leave of business concern if they were working like these guys.
YMMV of course, maybe other locations are unlike but since Costblo own't hurting for customers and they are always booked like weeks out, and the workers are surely paid hourly...well you become what I mean.
